Welcome to MWC
The Museums of Western Colorado is the largest museum organization between Denver and Salt Lake City. Come explore our extensive and diverse collection of exhibits and educational programs, focusing on paleontology, geology, and regional history.

A Colorado Story Comes Home
Bringing Our Brach Home
In 1900, paleontologist Elmer Riggs discovered one of the world's most significant Brachiosaurus fossils on Riggs Hill in Grand Junction.
Now, more than a century later, our community is coming together to create a full-scale Brachiosaurus replica that will welcome visitors at Grand Junction Regional Airport and celebrate the remarkable paleontological heritage of the Colorado Plateau.
