About This Exhibit
In celebration of the Museums of Western Colorado’s 60th anniversary, 60 Years of Treasures & Traditions: Western Colorado’s Living Legacy brings together iconic objects from the museum’s collections with stories of the people, places, and moments that shaped the Grand Valley.
From early pioneers and local legends to the everyday experiences that define life on the Western Slope, this featured exhibit explores how a museum grows alongside its community—and how every object holds a story worth remembering.
Through historic photographs, treasured artifacts, and milestone moments from both museum history and regional history, visitors are invited to reflect on the people and traditions that continue to shape Western Colorado’s living legacy.
