Extinction and the Prehistoric World (Volcanoes & Earth’s History)

Monday, July 13th through Friday, July 17th

9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Dinosaur Journey Museum

Ages: 8-12 years old

Travel back in time at Dinosaur Journey’s Extinction and the Prehistoric World (Volcanoes & Earth’s History) — a thrilling dinosaur summer camp where science meets adventure! Campers will explore the powerful forces that shaped our planet, from erupting volcanoes to shifting continents and dramatic climate changes. They’ll investigate what life was like during the age of dinosaurs and uncover the mysteries behind mass extinction events.
Through exciting experiments, volcano simulations, fossil studies, and interactive Earth history activities, campers will discover how scientists piece together clues from rocks and fossils to understand our planet’s ancient past.

What to Bring/Wear:

  • Good shoes for walking — no flip-flops.
  • Clothes appropriate for the weather, playing outside and doing crafts.
  • Arrive to camp with sunscreen on.
  • Packed lunch, snacks and a drink.
  • Water bottle.
  • Hats and sunglasses.
  • Backpack; it will be carried with them on days they cannot return to the classroom for lunch
