Reilly Teixeira

Curator of Archaeology

Reilly Teixeira is the Curator of Archaeology at the Museums of Western Colorado. She earned a B.A. in Applied Anthropology and Geography from Colorado Mesa University and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Cultural Resource Management at Adams State University.

Reilly joined the Museums of Western Colorado as an intern in 2022 and worked as a Collections Assistant before becoming Curator of Archaeology in 2025. Her work focuses on overseeing the archaeological repository, managing collections care and access, developing exhibits, and working with researchers, agencies, and descendant communities to preserve the region’s cultural heritage.

Originally from Ohio, Reilly moved to Colorado’s Front Range in 2013 and came to the Western Slope to attend college. Since then, she has built both her career and community in Grand Junction and has enjoyed helping to preserve and share the stories that have shaped Western Colorado.
