Campers will learn how scientists uncover the secrets of the past by studying fossils and ancient clues left behind millions of years ago. Young explorers will simulate excavation techniques\, identify fossil replicas\, and record their discoveries just like real field researchers.\n\nThrough observing real dig sites\, casting fossils\, and interactive\nactivities\, campers will discover how bones are preserved\, how dinosaurs are reconstructed\, and how paleontologists piece together Earth’s prehistoric story.\n\nWhat to Bring/Wear:\n\n 	Good shoes for walking — no flip-flops.\n 	Clothes appropriate for the weather\, playing outside and doing crafts.\n 	Arrive to camp with sunscreen on.\n 	Packed lunch\, snacks and a drink.\n 	Water bottle.\n 	Hats and sunglasses.\n 	Backpack; it will be carried with them on days they cannot return to the classroom for lunch

Designed for individuals and families with sensory sensitivities\, this special hour offers a quieter\, gentler environment to explore the world of dinosaurs. \nWhat to Expect:\nLowered lighting throughout the museum\nAmbient sounds and motion effects turned off\nSmaller crowds and a more relaxed atmosphere\nAccess to fossil exhibits\, dig pit\, hands-on activities\, and more \nThis monthly program is ideal for neurodivergent guests or anyone who prefers a less stimulating visit. We welcome visitors of all ages and abilities. \nWhen: 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM on the Second Saturday of each month\nCost: $5 per person (ages 3+).
